Forte and Tablada established by electrical engineers, Vincent A. Forte, P.E. and Julian F. Tablada P.E. The firm was organized to provide electrical consulting services to industrial, commercial, and private including architects, municipalities, and public agencies.

John Hobbs hired. He would go on to be the company’s longest-serving full-time employee.

F&T moved into 9107 Interline Avenue in Baton Rouge, LA. Vincent Forte chose this location because “it will be the only building with no other buildings between us and the Interstate.”

F&T awarded contract to address conditions at Angola. The company designed housing, electrical upgrades, and roadways at Angola. This project began a partnership with the Louisiana Department of Corrections which continues to this day.

F&T Services Corporation established to manage industrial facility operation and maintenance.

AERO Construction established for utility improvement projects in the Southern states.

Automated Detail Services (ADS) started for structural drawing detailing.

F&T awarded re-wiring of Louisiana State Capitol. During construction, a Fresco (mural) painted by Conrad Albrizio in the 1930s was uncovered. Construction stopped so that the painting could be preserved.

F&T Energy formed to develop hydroelectric power projects in the Southern United States.

F&T was one of the first architectural and engineering firms in the area to adopt computers and AutoCAD programs for full-time use in creating design drawings.

F&T completed the Sidney Murray Hydroelectric Station in Vidalia, LA. The $539 Million station produced 192 MW, the largest hydrostation in North America at that time. Components of the station came from 24 states and 16 countries. The large world map in the hallway was used to track movement of components.

Forte and Tablada Computer Services (FTSC) division was created to convert paper drawings into digital AutoCAD drawings.

Ann Forte Trappey, P.E. became CEO of the firm and served for 27 years. During her tenure, the company expanded into land surveying and advanced measurements, extended its reach into North Louisiana, and aggressively grew its presence in the transportation and civil works markets.

F&T donated the design and coordinated the donation of material and labor to create the Vincent A. Forte River and Coastal Hydraulic Lab Model Building on the LSU campus. The model allowed staff and students to model various Mississippi flows based on various changes proposed for the river flow.

F&T contracted with the Louisiana National Guard to design the civil and electrical infrastructure for Jackson Barracks, a 170-year old military base that serves as the headquarters for the Louisiana National Guard and was significantly damaged by flooding. Additionally, F&T provided civil, structural, and electrical design services for Fort Jackson in Plaquemines Parish to preserve and stabilize the structure while adding modern conveniences.

F&T performed survey and design for the extension of Veterans Memorial Boulevard. A four-lane concrete curb and gutter roadway for a boulevard section with sub-surface drainage. This project was the first completed project of the Green Light Plan Program for EBR Parish.

F&T acquired Baton Rouge Land Surveying to offer land surveying services on a larger scale.

F&T built a 3,000 square foot facility in Denham Springs at 1234 Del Este. This facility provided a permanent base of operations to give engineering services to the City of Denham Springs and the City of Walker among other Livingston Parish clients.

F&T acquired BBC Engineering to provide a North Louisiana presence.

F&T acquired Engensus for structural engineering, bridge engineering, and risk consulting.

The Denham Springs Office was flooded during the storms of 2016 and received two feet of water in the structure. The building was completely renovated, and F&T’s presence continued in Livingston Parish. The firm also conducted a flood damage assessment at Louisiana Correctional Institute for Women in St. Gabriel in 2016. They found extensive water damage persisting a month after the flood and concluded that repairing the severely damaged electrical infrastructure was not economically viable.

F&T used advanced LIDAR technology for modeling in the emergency repair of the LA DOTD Sunshine Bridge following structural damage from a barge collision. The firm won the ACEC/L Grand Conceptor Award for its work on the Sunshine Bridge Repairs. F&T acquired a 12,000 square foot building at 9434 Interline (remodeled for Survey and Advanced Measurements. Building named Survey and Advanced Technology Building (SAAT)).

F&T performed civil, structural, and electrical design for Walker City Hall in Livingston Parish. Design includes a diesel-driven backup generator for uninterrupted operations during utility outages, often caused by severe weather events.

Nicholson Drive at Brightside Lane/West Lee Drive intersection project. Designed by F&T, the project dramatically improved an intersection that had experienced significant traffic problems and safety issues due to a steep grade and adjacent railroad crossing. This project won the ACEC/L Grand Conceptor and People’s Choice Awards in 2022.

Chad Bacas, P.E. and Joey Coco, P.E. purchased F&T.

Joey Coco, P.E. named CEO of F&T.

Brad Holleman, P.L.S., P.E., and Jordan Pearson, P.E. additionally acquired ownership of F&T.

Renovation of the 9107 Interline location is undertaken. Brookhill Ferry Shipwreck discovered due to low water in the Mississippi River. The vessel was scanned and provided to the public online. This was the third project in four years to win an ACEC Engineering Excellence Award.

F&T acquired Boyd Holmes Engineering.

Shreveport new building opened. Gonzales Office opened.

Digi-Twin Global established.
